About the IEMA

‘the environmentalist’ is the flagship magazine of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) – a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of sustainable development. With over 13,000 individual members in the UK and around the world, the IEMA is the leading UK-based membership organisation established to promote best practice standards in environmental management, auditing and assessment.

What we do ...

We have produced ‘the environmentalist’ on behalf of the IEMA since 2001, providing a complete publishing service: project management, editorial, design, layout, proof-reading, print and distribution. We work closely with our advertising agents to ensure that advertising revenues continue to grow with the magazine's circulation. Our experienced editors are responsible for maintaining high quality and up-to-date environmental content, whilst ensuring that we meet our monthly publishing deadlines.

Now published 20 times per year, ‘the environmentalist’ has become a key publication in the environmental business sector. Total readership is estimated at 60,000 and advertising revenue has grown by over 100% over the last 3 years.

‘the environmentalist’ is printed by Potts on 9 Lives Paper (55% recycled, FSC approved). Potts are accredited to environmental management standard ISO 14001.
