About remas
remas is an ambitious and far-reaching three-year project designed to examine environmental management systems currently in place in businesses across EU member states. remas aims to explore whether companies and organisations who implement environmental management systems show better overall environmental performance. Over 460 EU companies are currently signed up to remas.
What we did
For the remas project, we were asked to create online software which would allow environmental data for companies across Europe to be captured (through an online questionnaire), compared and analysed. Key requirements were online reporting, data analysis and the ability to compare one company's performance data with another, instantly. We provided dynamic graphing tools (see screen shot above) which create many different types of graph 'on-the-fly'. Using these and other techniques, companies taking part in the scheme are able to compare their results with others in their sector, and beyond.
